i have asus sabertooth x58 motherboard and it has 3 pcie x16 but bottom one is x4 and i have to gtx 580 in sli but there close together and my top card temps get high 85 unlest i have my fans on 100 witch is loud i try put the card in 3rd slot put it cant fit cus of medal thing in the way that holding up the case is there better motherboard at same price range i can get for sli or those are ok temps?
85C under heavy load is not unheard of for a video card, especially something as power-hungry as a GTX 580. You should be fine. A motherboard upgrade will not reduce temperatures, you will need to change the video card's cooling solution or improve your case's cooling to achieve lower temperatures.
well my two 580s ide at like 50c but when i game on bf3 card goes up to like 80 unlest i put card on 100% fan speed
Video cards are designed to handle that type of temperature, they are very different from CPUs and the like so don't be too concerned unless it's going above the 100C+ range.
ok thank you
