Cellphone "Repeater"

Hi..

I live in a small town, were cellphone service is quite bad.
My house have steel parts and as the true nerd I am, I use most of my time
in front of a PC, and a WIFI router 2 feet away.
So all the above creates a "black hole", and the best of days I get 1 bar on my cell.

So my question..
Is there a carkit or repeater I can use for better service.
I imagine something like a small car antenna wich I can place on my roof
connected with a bluetooth thingy that will boost the signal.

Any ideas guys ?

If I read it correct there is a large outside antenna and a small inside (service antenna)
Is that correct ?

A bit expencive, but maybe its the pricetag for that specific hardware

Will it work with several different cellphones at the same time ?
