when i start my computer normally it stays on a bit and turns of and turns back on into windows
Are you overclocking? If so, restore to defaults and see if it still happens.
a very slight overclock but i'v try the defaults but that did not work
Does it restart when you're playing a game or using a particular application. Without knowing your complete computers details it's hard to pin point the issue, but many times when odd things like this happen, it's the system memory. If possible prove more system details and describe the problem more.
it only dose it when i first turn it on, then everything (fans, hard drives ect.) turns off for a bit and then turns back on again running normal
the computer system:
2600k i7
12gb ram
asus gtx 560TI
asus p8z68-m pro motherboard
thermaltake 700 watt powersuply
coolermaster haf x case
500GB seegate HDD OS
1TB seegate HDD
1TB western digital HDD
250GB 2.5' tobisha HDD
and coolermaster v6 for the cpu heatsink
Mine will do the same with high overclocks, like 4.8+ Ghz. Below that, not at all. Not sure the root cause, I have tried all the usual suspects but nothing ever fixed it. It runs stabil, so I never worried about it. Some kind of cold bug. I have a 2600K on the Asus P67 Maximus IV Extreme.
i don't tend to overclock very much because of the heat it gives of, when i first installed it with the standed heatsink it was a instant 80c somehow when i just turned it on
