Rodney,

I am building a new pc but I can't decide if I want the Intel core i7 930 or the new AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition. Which of these two CPUs you would choose and why? Which one has better overclocking ability? I know that the i7 only has 4 cores but 8 cores with hyperthreading and the amd only has 6 cores total but will that really make a difference?

I would really appreciate your input .

Thanks

For similar amounts of money, you can build both. The 2 extra cores will not have any sort of real world benefit for you. Both can oc about the same, but benches will favor the intel.

i would say go with intel 930......2 core extra doesent make any big difference and no software and games do not take advantage of those 2 cores moreley overclocking produce more heat and intel stands better in it......which gives life for ur computer
