which processor do I get?

I'm gunna get an AM3 processor, ANd I was thinking on getting the Phenom II X6 1055T, but, since I'll only be gaming, will I even need that, or would I be fine getting an X4?

Or a x2 555 then unlock it into a 955 and save $50

True, but has not happened to me in like 10 555's and I have saved $50x10=$500. I can easily cover cost of one dead one now.
But if he wants a 955 to be safe, there aint no problem with that
