my stupid wifi CONSTANTLY loses connection and the only way to fix it is by turning it OFF then ON. The first 2 minutes are perfectly fine and fast then the signal just dies and i have to turn it off and back on again. I mean yes my parents have a fairly large 3 story house but my computer really isnt that far away from my router. when im in my bedroom with my ipod touch the signal is only 1-2 bars when the router is only 2 bedrooms away.
monday my eithernet cables and eithernet switch should finally come in and ill have a nice wired connection for my PC, and TV media player.
But does anyone know if they will ever use a better frequency for wifi radio connections for longer ranges in the future?
I had to reset my wifi again after writing this post.
Your router or wireless card are probably of very bad quality because I don't have that issue with my D-Link as for now.. But I used to have this issue with some cheap Comstar models..

Its working fine right now and has been all morning but i havent touched it. I dont understand why it was so bad yesterday when ive done nothing to my antenna today and it has no problems. its like it has a mind of its own.
i have a linksys G router and i can get 4/5 bars from the opposite end of the house with a stock antenna on my laptop and my PSP. i think it might be your router; what model?
