IS USB 3.0 backwards compatable? Can I use my old usb drives in the usb 3.0 ports?

yes you can use your old USB drives in 3.0

What is really nice is that a single USB 3 host port attached to a USB 3 compliant hub can allow you to use LOTS of USB 2 simultaneously with no slowdown between devices.
