Hi- Please suggest at PSU for me. Below are the configuration which i am having currently. CPU- Intel Pentium D 3.4Ghz Ram - Transcend 4*512MB DDR2 Hard Disk - 4*80GB Seagate 7200RPM DVD Drive - 2 External Portable drives - 2*40GB Cheers Roshan
You're using integrated graphics right?
A 400W PSU would be more than adequate. I'd suggest the Corsair cx400.
Thanks for the reply Razear!!!
Yes am using integrated graphics..
I also want to run 3 additional fans, will the Corsair cx400 will be able to drive it with the current configurations i have mentioned.
Could you please tell me why Corsair cx400?? why not any other brands? i just wana know...
Corsair makes some of the most reliable PSUs on the market.
As per your suggestion i bought Corsair cx400 and connected 4 SATA HDD and one rear fan. But the system goes off after few mins from switch on and it doesnt switch on again. Later i removed the power cable and reconnected to psu, started the PC and in bios i found 63C degree as my CPU temperature. Is my CPU getting overheated?? do i have to change my cooler or its a PSU issue??
I even tried connecting only one booting HDD but still the same issue.
I reconnected my old PSU and the system is working fine without any issues... i guess its the problem with the new PSU.
While you still can, I suggest returning it for a new one, might be defective.
ok.. i will get it replaced.
Thanks Razear, i have got the PSU replaced now. Its working fine, also driving 4 SATA HDD :-). Thanks a ton for ur suggestion!!!!
