[SOLVED] Netgear WNR2000v2 + Acer Aspire One: Wireless Problem

Just posting this here should someone else run into the same problem. I setup a Netgear WNR2000v2, N300 Wireless Router. The Laptop would work with wired lan, but when connected by wireless it wouldn't surf at all. As normal I tried updating the routers firmware and played with countless wireless options, reset windows to defaults and nothing would make it work.

Apparently the wireless drivers that download from windows are old and the Acer website was worthless. The original crappy drivers for me are dated in 2008. The fix ended up being updated Drivers for Atheros AR5007EG and Windows XP. Without the "Device Manager" manual install of these drivers this laptop just will not connect to any Wireless-N routers.
