Hello AGAIN. ;)

This time i am working on a new computer for my sister and i have came across a problem. I am not a complete noob at this and i have connected everything as properly as i know. (except for the power LED because the connector on the case does not fit)

I have a XFX nforce 680I LT SLI  with two 1gb sticks of 800mhz ram. INtel core 2 duo, geforce 8800 GT, and a 250GB SATA aswell as a couple other random optical drives. (i can be more specific if needed)

Basically when i hit the power button all the fans and stuff come on and on the screen is a huge "XFX" splash screen. But thats it, it never moves from that screen...

Can you get to the bios? If so then your the problem is no OS-check boot device priority and set it to optical drive/dvd drive. Then make sure ure drives are hooked up properly and install

If u cant get to bios then u need to flash some bios into mb

NO i cannot get to the bios. In the manual it states that you press the DEL key to enter the bios. What actually happens is that, sometimes it gets to that splash screen and then restarts again shortly after, but if i press the DEL key it just sits at the splash. I have left it there for about 10 minutes.

How do i "flash bios into MB"?

Remove the motherboard battery for 1 minute and put it back. Reset the CMOS. Remove any Pin connection going to the motherboard other than the power switch.

I sleep fine at night knowing we are banning people who deserve it.  Tivon

I have followed your instructions Jared and had some success, but only while using other slightly worse (650 mhz) memory sticks. The newer DDR2 800mhz that i have i cannot seem to get to run even while loading just one at a time. I have heard That you may need to change the voltage from "Auto" to 2.1 or 2.2 for the memory to work on this board but i have tried up to 2.3 volts with no luck yet. (still just trying with one stick at a time) Should i try going even higher?

On the new memory itself it says "2.1 v" ...
