Now i havent run memtest yet, but im going to do it on every stick, maybe also check some bios settings.
Now.
MB: Asus Rampage II gene
CPU i7 920
RAM: Corsair TR3X6G1600C9
Now when i boot my system only 4 gigs show up in thte bios and windows. If i launch CPU-Z and go to memory, it finds all 6 gigs.
If i shut my pc down clear cmos turn it on i get 6 gigs in windows. Next day it will be 4 gigs again.
This is kinda a pain in the butt, since if i wanna overclock im gonna have a hard time keeping my settings, ive heard of others with this problem, but noone doing the cmos fix.
Any advice except memtesting? any bios settings i should know about?
(DRAM Freq is set to 1600, i havent played with voltages or timings, just auto)
Well sry for bothering, but i found out that my memory is called CM3X2G1600C9, and i didnt turn on the XMP profile in my bios, now lets find out if this will continue tomorrow, im going to bed!
Could be a problem with the memory controller CPU. Might also just be a bad motherboard. You can try updating the motherboard bios.
