psu fan controller defective?

hi i have the ocz zt 750w psu and when i play a game for more then 50 min the fan goes from 20% to 100%. any ideas? and does anyone know if newegg will accept a rma with no upc code?

Please list your full system specifications. If the PSU's fan ramps up, it is handling a higher load and will need to spin at a higher RPM to dissipate the added heat and this is normal operation.

no but after it spins to i higher rpm it doesn't lower the rpm even after quitting the game and idling for a hour

I'd RMA it if you can't get through to newegg about the issue. How long have you had the PSU? Also, you should be able to find all the information you need to send it back to Newegg if you login to your account and view the purchase information, it should all be there.

Normal for a PSU to increase fan speed when under load, but fan should back off, RMA it.
