guys i have a question what is the minimum memory capacity for intel core i7 to run efficiently? example of memory...coz we all know that it is the best processor of out in the market.
I would recommend 6GB DDR3 which will NOT bottleneck the system.

yeah, 6 GB triple channel is probably your best option.
3GB triple channel kit minimum but 6GB preferably.
ahw i only have 2 memory slots in my motherboard i guess i need to buy a new motherboard
ahw i have 2 slots for my ram in my motherboard i think i need to buy a new motherboard
LGA 1366 is the bare minimum to run an intel Core i7 processor which is natively triple channel, so yes you will need to upgrade your motherboard
hmm.. can u suggest me an asus motherboard that i can use if ever i have core i7 processor
probably the Rampage III
I would suggest the P6X58D Premium.
the motherboard is so cool that it even support sli...and it has usb 3.0,etc.
The Rampage III is the Motherboard I'm using in my 2011 Build, i've actually posted the list here on the forum for people to critique. It's a beast.
Know for a fact that if you are going over 4GIGs of ram you are going to need a 64bit operating system to address the extra ram.
yah it is one of the coolest motherboards i know.. i like to use it but i'm not really expert in these things i'm afraid i coudnt use the motherboard very well and i'll just have put it to waste and i wont let that to happen...i want to know every detail about it.I'm sure i couldn't understand all the components
