Are Noctua fans any good?

I read reviews online and they are all postive, part from the colour scheme and a bit pricey. They come Highly recommend.

Now that I read this article about how they are not good,

Not sure about the testing the black bin bag, would prove anything, can anyone enlighten me about it.

I'm a personal fan of Noctua's products, though many say the price isn't worth it. Scythe's S-Flex fans work well for their cost as CPU fans, and the Slip Stream line is great as case fans. Gelid Wing fans are also great, and the classic yate loon are also praised for their low cost and high performance.

IMHO S-Flex > NF-P12

I'm disappointed with the P12 because it's no better (IMO) than SFF21E's, and in fact, I think the P12 is more noisy than the S-Flex. Had I bought the P12 before the SFF21E, I may not be so critical of them. However, since a lot of people think the P12 is the end-all be-all fan, I plunked down the $20 per for 4 of them and I'm disappointed. You can run Yates (D12SL-12) at 7v and they're quieter than the P12 for 1/7 the price.

I love the Noctua product line. I actually have some nice white Noctua boxes here waiting to reviewed... ;)
