So i have decided to upgrade from my intel Core due conroe 2.66Ghz, 680Sli mobo, duel 9600Gt Alpha dog XXX edition video cards, 4 gigs of Balizticz ram, to something a little more new basically lol.

Problem is im having a hard time deciding where i want to go.

I recently picked up a Diamond Radeon HD 5870, now i need to build the PC around that. But do i go AMD or I7?

Ive narroed my processors down to:

Intel Core i7 920

or

AMD Phenome II X4 969 black

With that in mind, my goal is to build a systam that i can both Game with and eventually do some video editing. and i know both processores are great. I want to try my hands at overclocking as well so i know im going to have a lot to watch and monitor.

Motherboard wise i have been looking at:

Intel Dx58SO (i7)

XFX X58i (i7)

Gigabyte GA-790FXTA (AMD)

ASUS Crosshari III 790FX (AMD)

Just not sure withc one i shoudl go with, or maybe you might have another suggestion.

As for memory im not sure what i should do, normally i tend to match the FSB with the memory i get, and most ive ben thinking fo some 10666, but im not sure if i should go higher for OCing or not.

Again maybe you could suggest sometihng.

any help would be great. Im still trying to figurer out the rest of the build, such as case and such, i dont want a case that looks gaudy but something like a full size tower that looks nice and simple but makes great air flow.
