I'm still a little confused over how they name the case sizes(atx,half-atx,full tower, etc.)
I plan on making a new rig and plan to get 2 460s and put them in SLI
I just am not sure which case and motherboard would be a good choice.
Any recommendations? I plan on using my old intel quad core.
they name cases by size
out of all of these cases the only ones you will be interested are probably going to be the full and the mid towers
atx desktop
ATX Full Tower
ATX Mid Tower < this is average size for a computer
ATX Mini Tower < smaller then average
MicroATX Desktop
MicroATX Mid Tower < this is atx mid tower but only fits micro atx
MicroATX Mini Tower < smaller then mid for home theater
MicroATX Slim Case < slim so it not as wide as mini and mid
*note* these last ones you will not really care just wanted to put it in
Mini-ITX Test Bench
Mini-ITX Tower
Mini-ITX Desktop
check out sizes as seen here and here
tell me youre price so i may pick some thing out for you :)
What is the CPU you`re going to use? Socket 775?
For GTX460`s you do not need a full tower case, a mid tower will fit those cards easly.
or a micro size case

Full tower would be better because it gives you more room to work with even if you don't plan on using long video cards and things like that.
