Hi guys,
This is my very first time at actually exploring and using hardware-modifying features, so here goes:

My rig currently uses 1333 modules running at 1066 due to the processor. However, i would like to get more processing power from the RAM without overriding the on-board chips' auto-detected operating speed, can anyone offer any suggestions?

CPU: i7 960 (3.2)
mboard: P6X58D-E
Model: CM3X2G1333C9 (x6)

1st info 8-8-8-20-4-86-8-6-20-0
2nd info 2N-51-52-52
3rd info 5-5-14-10-10-10-7-6-4-7-7-4

i can confirm that changing one setting doesn't result in the system auto-calculating the other values. if any more info is needed, just ask.

My System:
ThermalTake Armor Jr. (Silver /w window) - Corsair Silent Pro GOLD 800W - Asus P6X58DE - Intel Core i7 960 @ 3.2GHz - Stock Intel Cooler - 6x Corsair CM3X2G1333C9 - 2 x ATi XFX Radeon HD5770 (5x Mini DisplayPort model, 2x16 link, CrossFireX ON, OverDrive OFF) - Samsung SyncMaster 940MW (via DVI) - Windows 7 Professional x64

Lower latency memory (fast timing) will generally give you better results.

Because my m.board has an onboard memory configuration reset switch (Asus MemOK), should I go for a trial n error and see how the computer behaves?
