Hello, I've never really consider headphones to be one of the things I should spend much money on and now I feel like it just might be time to, even though I know above average about computers, I've never really consider into looking at what makes a pair of headphones actually good, so I have no clue as to what to look for in a pair of headphones, so with that said,
Could and one suggest a pair of headphones to look into?
Maybe school me a little bit on what makes a good pair of headphones a good pair of headphones?
My planned use for these headphones would be for gaming, fps liked Arma 2 and adventure RPG like TorchLight 2 games but as well as music such as rock and dubstep.
Now currently I'm using a pair of headsets by Razer, the carcharias, so if I'm going to be buying a new pair of headphones, I'd like there to be a real noticeable difference in sound quality,
also I said I now think a pair of headphones are now worth spending a good amount of money on now, well I do but I'd like to stay around $125 to $150 and $200 max if someone really thinks its worth that large price tag and others agree on here heh.
Anyways, thanks a lot for the help, can always trust you guys here at 3Dgameman.com!
Oh I guess I could add, that one of the reasons why I'm looking into getting a new pair of headphones is because either my current headphones are dying or I'm going deaf, in either case with these new headphones I'd hope they'd be louder.
Also sense I'd be making the switch from a headset to just a headphone, mic suggestions are also nice and appreciated, though not looking to spend as much on as I will be on the headphones.
Again, thanks for the help!
So far I'm considering the Tritton 720+ Headset.
150$ For some Headphones ? i dunno know why should pay so much for some headphones . I use the Pioneer SE-M390 wich are about 50-60 $ and they are awesome for their price , and i also have a Asus Xonar DGX sound card.
I have a ASUS Xonar DX (80$) and Siberia V2 Headset (could be found at 60$ in rebate) and this combo is really good, for 150$ headphone, you should at least have a 100$ sound card to hear the difference or a external amplifier as on onboard audio, it will sound really shi**y, even more crappier than some cheap earbuds as the sound card will not be able to deliver enough power to the headphones drivers...
