Hello everyone,
I've been using my 9800GTX for over a year now and it still maxes out most games (EXCEPT FLIGHT SIM X!!). I've been thinking about going SLI as the card is now dirt cheap and my current rig would support it without any other upgrades. I've discovered however that the XFX model that I currently own is nowhere to be found on the internet. I understand that it's OK to, say SLI my XFX card with an EVGA (which TigerDirect is selling for $140)? EVGA however has a different design for the side, which would look awkward in my clear-side case.
So my question is: What brands do you know that have the standard shiny GeForce logo on the side? And where would I be able to buy that?

(The one on the left)
PS: Besides wanting a performance upgrade, I would also like the triple screen (a 17" on each side of my 22") later on.
Many thanks in advance!!
You can mix different brands of GPU's togehter as long they have the same chip on them.
Go with whatever 9800 is the cheapeast-Honestly looking from the side they both look good-do not worry.
Oh and btw-Nice to have one of the maybe 4 cards that SLI nicely.
You can't SLI 4 9800 GTX's. You can with 4 EVGA GTX 285 Classifieds
1. Yes you can-9800x2 in SLI-LOL
2. I was not refering to quad sli-I mean that the 9800 is maybe one of the 4 cards availble which when SLI'd gets likw %150-170 performance gain.
You people clearly haven't read the original post...either that or you lack reading skills/comprehension skills/an attention span.
I'm not sure you'll be able to find one that looks the same. I'm wondering if BFG would be a better match...I don't know though.
You might want to try your luck on ebay.
Thanks for the help! I've decided to get a EVGA card from TigerDirect. eBay was completely overpriced. I guess I will just have to live with the weird look. I'll post some benchmarks once it arrives.
You can also get it off of newegg.com most of there stuff now and then have free shipping
12$ cheaper with TigerDirect ;) I would have to go with newegg.ca because I live in Canada. TigerDirect currently offers free shipping while newegg.ca does not. newegg.com is much better than .ca...
