Digital connectors, like DVI, can be connected and disconnected while power is on with no problems.

Does your motherboard supply a beep to indicate boot?

Did you actually touch or remove anything inside the case while dusting, or was it just compressed air? Did the compressed air discharge upside down and spray the liquid compressed air (white, cold spray)?

Sorry for the delay. Were you using a no-moisture blower? I only ask because my air compressor can build up water condensation from the atmosphere and sometimes spray a fine water mist if I'm not careful with it, so I don't recommend that type. There are hand tools with a pancake press compressor that are just fine, as they don't build up the condensation.

My advice would to disconnect power and cards and cables from the motherboard, and reseat each one. See if you have just caused a separation due to the air pressure.

I know this may be random or does not make sense but if the monitor accepts both dvi and vga and so does your video card, try connecting the vga, a while back I can't remember most of what I did or what happen but I remember having the same issue or an issue something like your having and I think I remember using a vga cable to fix it or to change a setting, something I can't remember but if your monitor accepts other cables other then dvi, try them if what Eire said does not work.
