Which CPU is better for gaming? Intel i5 2500k or Intel i7 2600k?

I7 2600 but you can't go wrong with either.

Dude don't mean to offend you but you make too many topics for just simple questions like these and its flooding the forum and its starting to be an eyesore, I suggest you make one thread and put all your curiosities there so you can get all your answers in one simple place.

I just built a i7 2600K system for my brother's job and I can tell you it's super fast. I've also built an i5 2500k for my mother a while back, it was good.. but not as kickass. Get the i7 2600K and a good video card, and can't go wrong here.

I am so sorry, but I am new to computers. I guess I have to many things to learn. I'll just try to research stuff from now on instead of posting in the forums. No hard feelings.

Save yourself $100 and go with the i5-2500k if you're just gaming. You literally won't see the difference between the two in gaming, they both perform phenomenal and overclock like a bat out of hell!

The only real difference between the two is the i7-2600k has Hyper-threading in which the i5-2500k does not. Hyper-threading only really helps with CPU intensive tasks like editing and rendering video you'll see the slight difference. Overall go with the i5-2500k, the i7-2600k just isn't worth the extra $100 unless you NEED it for CPU intensive applications like editing and what not. For gaming, you wouldn't see a difference between the two.

No one said not to post. Looking for help in computer forums is the way to go. My advice was also for his own convenience because some of his question were left unanswered since he created a lot of them instead of putting it in one organized thread.

Keep posting your questions, thats what the forums are for! Besides, more posts are better for the forum in general. If someone has a similar question they wont want to browse through one huge thread of questions. Atleast i wouldnt.

Back to the topic, i know nothing about Intel Cpus except that they are expensive haha
