This is very strange-
I am building a computer right now and everything was going smoothly. I can get to bios and it seems stable but it will not boot any OS. I got frustrated and used my main computer to put an OS on an HDD to see if something was wrong there but no luck. The HDD runs perfectly as does the optical drive. Every time it tries to boot it just stops and changes to "hardware monitering" screen with all temps and voltages without any explanation-not even so much as an error message.
p.s obviously I have everything wired hooked up correctly
If reinstalling the OS on the target computer did not help and you are certain that the HDD is fine, you may want to check your memory. Also I do hope that you did not do any overclocking while checking for faulty components as it could be the cause for instabilities.
This is a brand new computer that I am building-
I used my machine to install the OS on the HDD without any problem-it works fine on my main rig.
Thought about ram but it is new Corsair XMS. I tried each 2gb stick individually but no difference showed up. I will try to memtest them but we will c.
p.s getting home from Notre D. in 2 weeks so ima keep bumping till then .
