Can someone explain the Asus Q Connector to me?. I understand you plug the front panel headers into it. What I don't get is the + or - written on it and GND written on it. I don't see a plus or minus written on the front panel connectors or a GND on it (I assume that means Ground). Sorry for the dumb question newbie to pc building.
They allow you to install the small front panel connectors without having to cram your fingers on the motherboard, the connector is optional so you don't need to use it - it's a convenience thing. Don't worry about the signs, the connections will still work even if they are different from what you see on the motherboard.
