I have a problem with my PC, when i turn it on it starts up for a few seconds and shuts down and within in a few more seconds it turns itself on and everything is OK,
I hope that someone here could tell me what might cause this as i hope that its not a prelude to some bigger problem.
Are you saying that the PSU shuts down and then powers back on on its own?
It is possible that you have overloaded it, and with drive spin-up and everything else coming on it is just having so much drain that it kicks off to protect itself from frying, but when the circuit resets they drives are at least partially spun up and the load is less.
If this is a sudden problem that just came up with no changes to the system, you either have a failing PSU or something else is failing and is drawing far more power than it should.
hmmm thanks i will look into it
eire has a good point. Can you give us some specs or a hardware list so we can better judge the PSU load?
