Hey i got a problem with my Asus M4a87TD and my H70 i got my H70 Pump in my PWR fan header on my Motherboard for full power and it works but i want the 2 fans to go onto the motherboard so i can control them but when i put them in the CPU or the Cha fan header it still just give them full power
If that board is anything like mine, you need to go into the BIOS and activate the fan control within.
You can usually specify a threshold of % power to apply to your fans with certain temps.
If you do not activate the tempertature/rpm control, then they will usually only provide maximum power.
If it helps you, see page 2-25 in your Assus M4A87TD motherboard manual.
That will help explain it to you a little better.
thx will try that now
yeah most PWM controllers need to be activated in the BIOS or they will just run at full speed, I have my CPU cooler (Xigmatek HDT-S963) set to run at about 60% fan speed then when the CPU hits 50oC to then up the fan to 100% but it hardly ever its 50oC any ways.
does it have something to do with the 2 corsair fans are 3 pined and the CPU fan Header on the Motherboard is a 4 pin???
