Randomly, for about a minute straight, when i'm listening to music, or playing a game, my speakers will make an extremely annoying static sound, no matter what I have plugged in for sound, ex:(headset, 2.1 speaker system, or backup headset) could my motherboard sound port be messed up? Because I'd would be nice to stop this sound.

Onboard sound can have all kinds of issues. It could be anything from a mouse using the USB ports to the activity of the processors or a short in the ground. Get a cheap Creative sound card and that might help.

I'd rather wait, it doesnt happen a whole lot, and its bearable, if my sound copletely goes out though, then I will get a sound card of some sort.
