I order a AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition the other day for my upgrade build, and now kinda stuck on which mobo to get, i have two on mind right now, and was wondering for other peoples view on them, or another board i should get
ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO
also i am aware that one if DDR2 and the other is DDR3, just trying to figure out a good board for this tho
This computer is mainly used for gaming and HD video.
Other parts I ill be using with this is
Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250 MC TV tuner card
MSI R4670-2D512 Radeon HD 4670 GPU (should be replaced either around xmas or after, with a 5770)
RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W PSU (needs to be replaced soon as well)
Western Digital Caviar 500G SATA3 HDD
22x LG DVD burner
NZXT BETA EVO case (best case I ever got)
and also have a Cooler Master V8 CPU cooler and heatsink on the way from newegg.
Lastly I'd like to keep the price around $120 at most.
Hav you looked at the Asus M4A79TXD Evo? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131402&cm_re=asus_m4a79xtd_evo-_-13-131-402-_-Product
its a very solid mobo. If I were to build a budget AMD system Id go with this board hands down (unless I needed mATX) - newegg also has it as openbox.
out of the two you listed id go for the Asus
the asus has my vote. i recently bought it for my sisters build.
