Hey guys,

sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but, I have some questions about an Acer Aspire 3100 laptop. The laptop in question is not mine, I am just trying to fix it for my cousin. The laptop does seem to boot up fan and hard drive are working but I am not sure why the screen is not turning on, it just stays black. I have tried connecting a monitor to it, but I don't get a signal. I do however know that my cousin was using the laptop to download music and most likely got some viruses, I don't know if that could've caused the screen to not turn on.

Any help will be appreciated, as I want to fix this laptop for my cousin.
