5870 and 5850 crossfire

hey, i have one asus 5870. now i have a super deal itis a xfx 5850.

would it work good with these two cards in crossfire?

Reviews are kinda as expected though.. highest card downclocks to the lower, so a bit of a waste of the higher one.

Both contain the same GPU so it shouldn't be a problem but the faster card will always bottleneck the slower one in CF or SLI.

I think you got that backwards, or am I missing something? CF 5870/5850 performs the same as CF 5850, and it's the CF software that slows the faster one down to the slower one, isn't it?
