Hey ,and hello since this is my 1st post in this forum.

I am i real need of some assistance here.
I have a 1680 x 1050 screen and wish to buy a card ~ 200$ (not more than 180E).
I 've been thinking of a 4890 or a 5770.
I like to play graphic games but with my 3850 (256MB) i can't.
Can you guys suggest sth? (Please no more than 200$)

I would really like to play alghmost anything on max with a 1680 x 1050 res.

Sry for the english i am a student + i akghmost broke my hand so i may do silly mitakes.

Thanks in advance.

5770 hands down.
its more up-to-date, supports DX11, newer drivers, more energy efficent, runs cooler and quiter.
its just a tiny bit slower but its ok... only 2 FPS less in most games, but it dominates in terms of technolgy, future-proffnes and more.

2 fps eh?

When TPU tested the 5770 at your resolution they said it on average was 18% worse than a 4890. Energy efficeny is a load of bull too-Just them trying to appeal to eco-friendly nuts.
The main question here is-price
For what price can you find the 5770 vs the 4890?
Either currency is fine
Also DX11 is overrated-turn up your graphics in DX 10.1 and it is hard to tell the difference

4890 is the wiser choice. Its faster, overclocks better, and is a more mature card.

the 4890 is faster but has no dx11. i had the same problem the 4890 or the 5770 in the end i went for the 5770. i have saved some money as well so i have more money for the ati 6000 series

I can get
5770 : http://www.plaisio.gr/Computers/Hardware/SVGA/Connect-3D-5770-SVGA-PCI-Express-1GB-V2.htm in greek - 133 E
or
4890 :

Well, that is a very unfair comparison. You're taking one of the most expensive 4890s available and comparing it with a dirt cheap 5770 with a rather embarrassing cooler slapped on it.

alot... lol!
and the HD5770 is much better in all terms, speeds bandwith, G-memory, DX11, around the same power consumsion but you get a loooot more for the same power.
ummm lol its gonna be atleast twice as better as the 3850.
