1000w seems to be a huge stretch.

If you have no problem with money I would add a SSD Sata 3 hard drive and Raid 0 all of them together for faster performance. The Western Digital Black 1TB is only 99 when the Seagate 2tb is $230.

If you are a hardcore upgrader like myself, I would suggest getting a x58 based motherboard as it will carry the future of 6 core processors more into the future.

Also I would highly recommend a motherboard that has both Sata 3 and USB 3.

That's just my 2 cents. I can name prices for any of my suggestions of you need it, also if you give me a price range budget I can point a slew of just the right products for exactly that.

Good luck! Also I would suggest saving it all and buying all the parts at once and look for SALES! Always look for sales, they are out there.

1. 1000W is excessive

2. Cut down to a 1tb hdd and add an SSD.

3. i7 is better upgrade path but I think an EVGA board is more suitable than the ud3r with easier overclocking.

4. 2gb 5870 is useless. No one uses 6 screen CF-the performance on the models is identical for non crazy people.

5. Buying it in parts is good if every part is on a good sale but to save on shipping and get combo discounts it can be advantageous to buy all at once.
