They all advise not to change CPU/platform because it's not worth it, and the only way to improve your gaming experience right now is a GPU upgrade and perhaps more RAM. That's the same as we said on the first page of this thread.

Then you announced you are going to buy the 1090T, and want a motherboard with that. So what's your point with linking to your other thread? I'm kinda lost here.

I think maybe you all are correct...yesterday i bought dead space2 and played it and on highest settings and i was getting 90-165fps....i think i dont need to change my cpu until "bulldozer zambezi" doesnt come out...and later i can go for any ATI Top rated card for upgrade :)...thanks all.

Yeah with GTA4 you mentioned earlier, that's really a hard game to run. Besides Crysis which is even harder. Glad you are happy with other settings or games :). And maybe put your money in a bigger monitor like the other guys mentioned, that will definitely give you a nice direct upgrade for your experience. And a GPU would be the next thing to go for after that I suppose.. So stay excited, but beware of what you buy !

As for platform technology, it moves fast but not fast enough to be worth the upgrade every time. But keep an eye on it, it's fun to see how it evolves anyway and maybe bulldozer will blow us away in price/performance, who knows... (I'm not counting on it though, but will be watching benchmarks and reviews for sure :p Perhaps buy it when I think it'll be worth it for me, but my overclocked dualcore Kuma is still serving me well enough.)

EDIT: Why is K u m a (processor name) edited out??
