Alright, I made this thread broader for all Bad Company 2 beta related stuff since there wasn't one...

My Question is though: For those of you able to get into the Beta for this game, what kind of performance are you getting with your specs?

I'm a little worried myself since I have a ATi 4850 and e8400 3.0ghz 4gb ddr2 1066. Seems like technology is moving even faster these days...

Current: PSU: Corsair 750TX 750 watt CPU: Intel E8400 3.0ghz GPU: ATi 4850 512mb MOBO: Asus P45 P5Q-E MEMORY: 4GB Mushkin DDR2 1066 HDD: WD 64000AAKS 640GB CASE: NZXT Tempest MONITOR: Samsung 22" 225LW 1680 x 1050

Im in the beta. I can tell you that ur system will run fine. Currently they(DICE) have only released the unoptimized client so far. I get around 97fps on my 4870x2 @ 2048x1152.
The final game should run much smoother than it currently does according to EA/DICE posts.

The people I've been playing with have all pretty much got sick of MW2 and are looking into this game. What are your thoughts on it so far?

I sleep fine at night knowing we are banning people who deserve it.  Tivon

I'm in the beta and so far I'm loving the game. The game performs very well. It's not a system hog but still looks pretty good. It still has some glitches and needs some polishing, but it's a Beta after all (although it shouldn't be one month before official release).

So, they say the graphics are nicer than Crysis. Is that true?

Man I wished I had my hands on the beta it looks real sweet! Just not sure if I should put down the 50 bucks to buy it yet. Been watching videos on youtube for the PC beta. Honestly I am impressed. Heres a good video

I really wanted to get my hands on CoDMW2, but like Tivon said, I'd probably ditch it too thanks to all the bad (LAG, hackers, etc) things about it on PC. Plus I don't like that in CoDW2 after you kill someone, your screen pretty much gets covered with crap you dont want to see in the first place. Well its anoying for me.

I have to say I love this game. I do prefer the conquest mode(bf2 style) over rush (which is the mode in the beta). but both are in the final game. But its still really nice to get in a squad and tear through the game. There are moments when plying this game that just wow you. You have to play to see what I mean.

The sound in the game is amazing, the graphics are nice, the team-play is wonderful. but its a beta so their are bugs and sub-par ares of the game.

something that i did notice is the game uses a lot of my cpu. I have an i7 920 and i get about 80% load on cpu 0, and about 60% on cpu 1-5 other 2 are minimal activity. All the sound processing is done on 1 core, not a sound card -there is an official blog post about this . Also 90-100% gpu usage on both gpu chips. its good to see a game taking advantage of newer powerful systems.

EDIT:
But thats not to say it runs poorly on older ones. My friend has a Pentium D something of other and a 8800gt - he can run the game at 1680x1050 on high at over 30fps no prob

If it's not too bad I'll get this game for my kids. I hate how all the games now have mature language and extreme gore. Whatever happened to the old days with options to reduce gore and turn off mature taunts?

bfbc2 = not for kids. ther isnt gore, there is blood spray on hit, but nothing nasty, but all the characters swear excessively

The game runs at 50-60 fps fine, but i am getting micro-slutters every 2 secs or so. I hope they'll tune up the performence before the final release.

This game is awesome! I have been waiting a long time for it, I pre-ordered the day that best buy released it. Played the beta over 35+ hours already. ( I haz no life =P ) The game is great, although the beta only shows 1 game mode and map. And thats getting old. So I haven't played much recently.

The downside to me for this beta is that I'm one of those people that have a good PC but can't get this game to perform well at all.

GTX 275 Superclocked

6 Gigs DDR3 1600

3.2 ghz AMD Dual core cpu

I'm getting 20 fps in that game on MEDIUM settings. =(

Some people are doing just fine, I find it to be people with something older then a 2 series Nvidia card. Seems like the new ones are having issues. Although Nvidia did release new drivers that do support this game better, especially for people wtih multi GPU's. Didn't help me much.

The Actual Finished product won't have these issues though, so I'm just gonna play other games until BFBC2 is released.

And this game is not a good children's game, unless you make them play with earmuffs or don't mind them hearing some F bombs etc. ( I wouldn't recommend it =P )

LoL Tivon, What did happen to the gold old days where the main character never spoked one word but always scored at in the end.

you will be able to play it fine, but depending on your resolution you probably wont be playing it on max settings.
