Canon G2 w/ reversed 50mm 1.8

Same

Again, same setup.

Same G2, but without the 50mm.

Same old G2.

The next two were with a Nikon Coolpix 2500.

Finally, an oldie, shot with an Olympus OM-1.

That should get this thread started off...even if they have been posted on here before. The new K10D pics will come later.

Then don't post closeups! A camera can do more than that. Just post what you like taking pictures of. (Surely you have kept some pictures in those 4 years, right?) Or take some new ones.

Don't worry about how old the camera is. All of those pictures I posted were taken with cameras that are as old or older than yours.

Maybe we could do some weekly themed threads. One week, everybody go shoot a picture of a pet, the next, shoot something that is unique about your hometown, etc. It will help in thinking of something to post. It would have to be something everyone would have in common. Let Tivon or Rodney pick each week's theme. Just a thought...

As this is a picture thread, here's one I took yesterday.

Pentax K10D, Sigma 28-105mm (105mm) 1/250s @ f/5.6

Ok, I'm just 15 but I know how to handle my Sony DSC-H5
Here are a few of my favourites:

and now one of my oldies. I took this with my really old Sony DSC-P72. This should proof that even old 3.2MP cameras aren't all that bad:

Please tell me what you think about those pictures. To see them in a bigger size just click them. Keep in mind that I'm only 15 and a beginner. Add me to your Flickr contacts!

Very nicely done! The only suggestion I moght make is to use an editing program (IrfanView, for example) and increase the contrast some. They all seem to be a little washed out.

Those are very good! You should post some descriptions of how you took them. The others would probably like to learn your techiques.

Can some guess what it is?

actually that picture is just a comparison. There is also one taken from exactly the same spot, but at high tide. And for those of you that don't know where this is, they are called Flowerpot Rocks. I was 13 when I took those and it was the first year that I had a camera, so this is kinda hard to compare with somebody's picture, who had a lot of experience.

This one is from a day and a half ago (it's nothing special)

Canon Powershot G6, RAW

This one is from my 2006 theme (dairies). I sort of went into abstraction to finish the project.

Nikon F80 w/28-80D

This one, I took in 2005

Canon Powershot G6, diffused Unomat flashgun

These others are from 2004 (I'm 17 now, so I guess 14 then).

Canon EOS 500, 35-70

Canon EOS 500, 50mm Macro

Olympus OM-10, can't remember what lens, maybe a Tokina 70-150 3.5-5.6

I'm doing astrophotography all this year, and have started - just need to get my films developed and scanned. They should be good.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
Gigabyte M55SLI-S4
Corsair 2x1024MB DDR2-675 XMS2

...Some other stuff...

These are 3 pics of my kickass hovercraft I just finished (main phase anyways) for my science fair.

My next step is to probably buy a fan, attach to a 2 x 4 and have it swivel so i can attach steering controls to it.

Your skirt is too big. It won't work.
