NEW 2015-01-07 - I am seeing a greater number of accounts being made that post ONE way-off-topic post and then go idle. While they are not actually posting sales links and garbage we don't want here, these off-topic posts lend nothing to the discussions here, and I will be removing them as general spam anyway! Spammers, please recognize that this is an ADMIN-CONTROLLED FORUM, and your accounts may also be removed. Thanks!

NEW 2015-01-25 - Continued single-post garbage lines, or copies of portions of earlier responses or the original post (including Admins) are happening, and being removed. None of these single post accounts are being used again after the first, so either we have a confused yet very sophisticated bot, or... who knows. Anyway, these accounts are going bye-bye. If you see them, tag below as with any spam. Thanks!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you come across a spam post (generic, totally unrelated to the topic, or posting a new topic unrelated to the purpose to this forum provided by 3dGameMan) please mark it as offensive (only possible on replies) and then leave a note here as to the location of the post and user ID to assist in cleanup by the forum admins.

Sorry I was out for a bit... nasty cold running that I may have picked up while on vacation last week. Thanks for the cleanup, Razear! I'll get the next one.

Pardon me for asking an off-topic question but shouldn't Razear get the blue color for his/her posts? It's like it's impossible to distinguish between regular users and moderators.

I was a bit surprised that Razear can move threads and delete posts.

Pardon me, Razear. :)

Zach was sent an email about that moderator color issue but has yet to do anything about it.

Nope. I have the amazing ability to BE TOO POOR to contribute cash! Let's hope that gets fixed this year.

Only for right now, I figure using the "contributed members" option is an okay compromise until Zach can get around to it. I'm looking at this temp fix as "people that have contributed working time hours to 3GM". This is not a life and death situation to worry about.

O.T. Anyone getting a tax return and upgrading their computers? :)

I would very much like to get into a Bulldozer, but at the moment renovating the kitchen is taking priority. We are currently walking on bare plywood, cooking on a stove that works only sometimes, washing dishes in a dishwasher that needs weekly repairs, and PRAYING that the fridge doesn't suddenly freeze up again and melt everything inside. After that, technology may be possible, but my wife needs a new laptop for work (work from home stuff) so she gets first dibs on what is left over.

I hate being a nice guy... "Screw you all, I'm building a $4000 computer and PLAYING GAMES FOREVER!!!" LOL! I never could, but the thought does cross my mind!

I most likely will not be getting a tax refund, which kinda sucks. I hoping to build my first computer this year.

Still no word from Zach? Not that I care about the green vs. blue, but there are things I could be doing that thus far I can't do with my account in it's current state.

Oh, yeah, Tivon or 3dGameMan, can you remove user account "jakttout" as he seems to be the rebirth of the golf posts.

Do you have the option to change status from active to blocked?

Nope. I can directly remove posts, but I don't have any options for users yet. I think we need my account moved over to mod or whatever flag is set for the position for me to have any control over user accounts.

Unless I am missing something obvious here. And with me, that is always a possibility...

Would be nice if someone up above would give the new forum mods user active to blocked options.. Maybe next year would be a better time??? lol

I think this will make it a lot easier to track which threads I want to uread and report spammers without repeatedly opening e-mail messages.
