Rodney & Zach,

So... Has it been worth 4+ months of effort, losing six thousand in your Alexa rank, and countless loyal users to move 3DGameMan from a powerful vBulletin bulletin board system to a cheap, janky and buggy forums that's built into a generic CMS platform? Right now I see many CSS flaws, still missing features, and general uglyness. In 4 months it's possible to write a custom CMS and forums from scratch.

P.S. Ads when using a right click to fix typos is a really lame way to make money. Especially when you overwrite the built in browser's context menu with a really buggy one that barely works.
P.S.S. My signature shows up twice.
P.S.S.S. The profile view page is messed up. My avatar/info is on the left, outside of what should be the page's boundaries.
P.S.S.S.S. The date is missing for every post.
P.S.S.S.S.S. The right half of the box around the page # is misaligned.
P.S.S.S.S.S.S. What a beautiful little triangle of Ss.
P.S.S.S.S.S.S.S. Are you serious? Four months, and there's still no UCP link?!

Zach is working on this in real time, so refresh often.

As posted before:

Lets try to keep a positive flow going here and work on the problems. Telling us, "It Sucks" is not going make anything better. Future rants will be deleted by me personally. If you see problems or areas that need improvement let us know so that we can get these issues fixed.

If you can't accept a large scope, then you don't have to be included in that scope. No need to waste time discouraging those that are simply trying to make the very thing you are complaining about better. Not to mention talking to a brick wall. So hope that room echoes for you so you can annoy yourself along with the rest of us.

For everybody that is encouraging and happy to not sweat the small stuff, hope you are liking some of the improvements! smiley

Not trying to troll, or be negative here. Just think that things aren't going that well, based on what I've seen thus far.

As you have said many times. No need to keep expressing the same point over and over. It has been heard, we know where you stand and feel.

Now, back on topic of improvements and not whipping dead rants....

Actually, I found that reminding people about something periodically to be more effective than simply mentioning it once and waiting until they do something about it.

Oh, and... weeping, not whipping, was the word you were looking for, I think.

On the bright side of things, I listed six easily spotted bugs in my previous post. One of them has been fixed, so hip hip... though not completely.

And, what rules did my signature violate that it had to be edited? I was simply advertising support Rodney's website.

Trouble shooting why you have duplicated signatures... feel free to put it back

Here we go, took screenshots of the bugs to make it easier:

No Date - There is no indication of when the post was made; only when you press REPLY does it show a date above the post.

No User Control Panel Link - There is no link to the User control panel still.

Double Signature - My signature, and only mine, shows up twice.

Typo Banner - When attempting to fix a typo using the built in FireFox feature, the context menu is replaced with the WYSIWYG's menu which contains an ad.

Weird Profiles - When viewing my profile, the avatar and latest viewers of the page are shown outside of what would be the page's boundaries.

Missing & Weird box - The box around the current selected page is missing; all other boxes are too wide and too tall.

No Screenshots Below

Plain Text Editor Amnesia - "Switch to plain text editor" forgets that I switched to plain text editor; I get the WYSIWYG crap every time.
Editor formats text - Editor modifies the tab structure of your posts; makes custom HTML harder to edit.
Poll choices alignment - The choices in the poll are aligned to the center; looks really weird.

Thanks. We'll fix  that soon as possible. Some forum theming probably broke some of that (which isn't finished yet, nor promoted at this time).

I got excited for a second that the post counts were back.:)

Anyway, the site has really been improving for the better over the past week.

BTW, when we are not logged in, and we press "Quote" or "Reply" on someone else's post, can we be directed to the log-in screen instead of the "access denied" message.

How about a simple "user cp" button to edit and update personal info?

Good idea, adding that to the list!

Don't worry about post counts, sooner or later we will fix that, we have not forgot. Hey look at Rodneys post count. [Posts: 1491] .lol

This is just a taste of Zach's cooking. There are many more options in the works that everyone will agree is 100% kickass.

Yea.. more tweaks and stuff on the way.

Widescreen mode will be an option, but it has to be setup and work correctly before we implement it.

Post counts for everyone is still an issues and it's on the todo list ;)

Times are hard. We have to use our own computers as play toys for kids. cheeky
