So far so good. It's a little bit slow but that's to be expected. As far as layout and color scheme are concerned, I like it.

Yesss, the forum is back!! The new design will take some getting used to though.

For sure, it gonna take some getting used to for sure. And it will take a lot of work to get this place to where we want it.

How can we get our signatures back? Or are you only allowing them for certain members?

hmm New forum looks good but a little bit darker blue would be a bit better (in my opinion).

We should block Anonymous posting in the forum and on the main page. I had to delete an bot post last night and don't understand the new ways enough to ban or block them.

Nice that it's back. But to be honest, I don't like the new layout/form/style of the forum. Maybe I am just not so adept to change, but I am just so used to the form used by the old forum, and by the dozens of other forums I visit on a regular basis.

But I'll probably get used to it. It is a drastic change, after all.

Also, I'm afraid that many old timers might not even recognize that the forum is back. Many of the guys here had it favorited or saved in a bookmark as www.3dgameman.com/forums, but now it is forum (no plural). I myself just accidentally stumbled upon this page, after trying /forums, but getting an error.

Anyway, I'm glad the site is back up. Nice to see y'all again.

Yeah i wonder is there a possibility of having a signature. So far its ok, may be taught to get use to it but it will eventually.

Also the new forum is running very slow for me. I understand that the new templates will change the forums layout. As it is now this is not beta IMHO, more like Pre-Beta. I'm still unsure of how to navigate once the new Beta page skin is applied.

To anyone that does not like the look of the new forums I agree, but like we said it's more of a pre-beta. As in it's all default. Rodney was correct that the forum was down too long and so this is the rushed job to put up whatever was working. In a few weeks time this will probably look entirely different. For now lets not talk about the colors of the forum but rather the bugs if you have any. Thanks

I agree, this is more Pre-Beta, but I really wanted to get this up ASAP so people could at least post. Zach is hoping to get the site and the forum finished by the end of Jan, and I'm holding him to it ;) Let's hope all goes well.

Yea, it's slow for me as well and I'm a little concerned about that. If it's a host issue I can upgrade or I will move the site somewhere else. We'll see how it goes.

Don't worry about the look of the site and forum, because all this will change with the new theme. Which BTW should impress most. Also, 3dGameMan is getting a new logo. So lots of stuff to look forward to over the next week or so.

Once the work is done (this beta site closing down then), will we ever move back to the old vB platform with a new layout additionally or are we getting a new one?

I think it was the plan to get away from VB because of all the problems.

What problems were there? I'd imagine it causes some problems with screen readers (that reads text to blind via speech) like jumping through tables.

Is this website in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidlines?

I do not know if the underlying code had changed (without a change in design since I assume it uses CSS), so I've not tested the website with a screen reader to see if the website has improved.

Oh i see. Not really liking it probably cauz i am always a big fan of separated forum such as vbulletin and ipb.

When you click on a thread posted, the top of the page there is some kind of text behind the "reply" button if you look closely.

Also, what is with the save button when you post a comment? it doesn't make any sense, most people would think you are "saving" it as a draft or something (like i did). It should say something like "Post" or "Post Comment" or something along those lines. just a thought :)

Looks like the integration didn't went that well. Did anyone noticed all the threads about Rod's reviewed product are all "clean?" They're now showing ancient threads. Plus, most of the threads posted by Tiv messed up somehow. But nevertheless, I would pressumed the dissapeared ones hasn't got deleted.

The mysteroius text is actually the "goof" for the "post reply" button. But who cares, we're on beta still :P

P.S: CPU is clogging badly :(

I love your site the only suggestion i have is that you send me the parts you review an dont keep!....lol

I would be cool if we could leave our "rig" signatures as this might alleviate some of the "what cpu, or mobo or ram do you have" questions we ask when helping someone in your forums.

It's good to to see the forums back. As this a prebeta layout, I don't have any suggestions just yet.
